In 1978, Arnie Paris laid the foundation of South SIA Insurance Group in Tinley Park, Illinois. The company was built on the cornerstones of teamwork, innovation, reliability and integrity.
Over the next 12 years, the business grew considerably as well as the staff. This required a few moves to larger offices between Tinley Park and Orland Park. The secret behind the success and business expansion was simple: to offer superior risk management services, while representing quality insurance carriers. Adopting new technologies, constantly educating and training the current staff, and recruiting new talent enabled South Suburban to thrive, and meet the evolving needs and expectations of our clientele.
In 1990, the agency moved to Burr Ridge to accommodate a growing staff of 25, and to be at the focal point of Northern Illinois to easily meet with clients due to the multiple expressways in the vicinity of the new office. Arnie called it the “30-minute location”. SIA Insurance Group has been operating from the same office since 2006, and expanded in 2010 to include a 2nd suite.
In 2006, Dave Slocum joined SIA Insurance Group as a Producer. Over the next couple of years, he grew a book of insurance while implementing the processes and procedures that are in place today. In 2012 Dave became a partner in the business. Upon Arnie’s retirement in March of 2015, Dave Slocum took the helm and serves as the President of SIA while still upholding the same energy, passion and values as its founder did.
